  1. Hey guys, here is another video where Don asks about Headmaster Arcee. Go about 29 minutes into the video. The camera is being blocked by some guys, but you can hear Don asking his question and also the response, unlike the other video which cut the response. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YzJ-eGicT4

  2. Hey guys great show as usual but I have a couple questions in regards to the titans return rumors. First off I’m loving everything I’m hearing but I’m getting a little nervous that the rest of the traditional headmasters ( squeezeplay and friends) will not be getting the full deluxe treatment in this line. Anything you can say that can help ease my mind? Also it seems like there’s an enormous amount of figures coming down the line so this has me wondering if you have any idea how long titans return will last. Will it be like combiner wars and have 6 waves or will it be longer? Thanks in advance and sorry if you’ve answered these in the past!

    • Hi Cody, thanks for listening! Sorry, but we don’t have anything that can ease your mind. We haven’t seen anything to indicate that the Titanmaster figures (so far the ones announced: Crashbash (Squeezeplay), Terri-bull (Horri-bull), Loudmouth (Siren), Nightbeat, Apeface) are getting full deluxe figures later on. If we do get that info, we’ll report it on a future show.

We can’t say for certain, but our understanding from most folks who are following Hasbro intently is that the TF lines run in 18-month cycles. Combiner Wars toys were first announced at SDCC 2014, and started showing up on store shelves in December 2014 – January 2015. It looks like the last Combiner Wars toys are being released now, and the first Titans Return figures are going to show up in May – June 2016.

So if Titans Return follows the same pattern, we can expect TR to last from May – June 2016 to December 2017 – January 2018, probably with the same number of wave releases as CW.

But take this with a grain of salt. We don’t have any info about how Hasbro plans their release schedules, and they could make changes based on any number of factors.

  3. Gimmicks at the original Dia Atlas – He was a combiner sized Autobot with 4 modes (robot, jet, tank and base), he had a motor, a Micromaster partner named speeder, and he could combine in vehicle mode with Sonic Bomber and Road Fire to form “Big Powered”.

The gimmick on Dia-Z, he’s a Ultra sized robot who breaks apart into three small aircraft. Each aircraft has a pilot, who become the chest and should armor of the big robot. The three small jets can also combine into one big jet.

  4. Rad! I see you received my drawing Charles! Glad you liked it! If I ever see you at a con in Texas we can make an exchange. One drawing for one hug!

As for not working in the comics industry it’s certainly not for lack of trying. I’ve submitted work to every international publisher (except IDW strangely.Ha!). The comic book world expects nothing but the best (rightfully so!) and it is an increasingly competitive field out there. At least in my experience, its brutally hard to get into.

Incidentally, I’m very happy as a 3D artist. With the Transmissions podcast to keep me company while at work what more do you need? (‘cept maybe a Titan size Skorponok…)

As always, thanks for another stellar show guys.

    • Thank you Rob for all the support! I’ve updated the show notes with a link to your website. Great stuff there! I would definitely say send your art to IDW too! There is definitely a hug in your future if we can meet up at a con somewhere! 🙂

  5. Another Great Show Guys !! I just have one thing to say about . I wanted to speak on Daca Toys Kronos. I have him. And yes he did have 2 issues when I got him from BBTS. He had a paint issue on his face that made him look like he had cut himself shaving. Also one of his fingers on his right hand broke. But BBTS replaced both at no charge. I am pretty sure that mine was a 2nd run of him. And I know there was issues with him by other people I won’t deny that. I know the issue with the ankle joint breaking and all. On mine I know his ankle joints were replaced. I can tell this by 2 things. 1 the white plastic used is a different shade than white than the rest of the figure. From everything I saw showed they were suppose to be the same. It is not a major color difference , but it is one i noticed. Also he had a small amount of residue from WD40 on his feet. NOT very much at all but you could tell it had been used. I not complaining at all about Kronos. He is by far one of my favorites. He scales really well with MPs. He has very nice detail work. I know Dogcades has one as well and I am sure Darryl has handled him. So he know of the detail work. Granted yes he could have been better I won’t deny that. Though I don’t think he needs anything major to make him better. Though a nice reprolabel set would be nice to have for him.

  6. Great ep!

In case you’re still curious about it, the Skybyte/Bumblebee variant for #52 is a reference to a Damien Hirst sculpture, The Physical Impossibility if Death in the Mind of Someone Living.
