  1. Dual Mirrored Gridwork

    mystic marvels and dogcades….
    SO flippin JELLY!!!!….
BUT i gots me a piece of that action!
    More to come

  2. Man I wish I could have been there! I’m gonna try to get to Chicago again next year, we should hang out again. I’ll make an effort not to be quite so shy. Maybe I’ll pack a flask or something. 😉

    • Hey Tom,

You have nothing to be shy about. We all put on our pants the same way. With Charles’ help.

      • Nah, I’m just naturally shy. Social anxiety. I just talk a lot on the Internet. It’s kind of a way for me to “brain dump.”

        • Was on my phone at work earlier. To add to that, you’re right – Charles was awesome and super easy to talk to. I know I was a complete stranger to him and Jeremy aside from my feedback on the show (which can come off kinda snarky, I know), and they, along with Mr. Robots With Coffee, really helped me feel more comfortable, even if I didn’t quite come out of my shell. Until I bumped until Charles, Drew and Dave (from the Audio Knights), and I think one of the gals from Stylin’ Online? – after a few beers at the bar to loosen myself up for that exact purpose. I failed to sell Charles on a Warden that night. Missed opportunity, man! OK, maybe not. 😉

  3. Oh, Yoshi, I actually had a similar complaint about the dealer room in Chicago last year. Despite being there for toys primary, you guys all did your jobs wonderfully and had me looking for comics too. There were next to none to be found. I was very sad. I had really wanted to pick some up.

    • I had brought a list of comics I wanted to buy too! But I get it I think. I actually saw a lot of Transformers Comics at Emerald City Comic Con a couple of years ago. But, nothing at that convention is a deal. You have to do willing to spend money or you wont leave with anything.

  4. I think they need to change how they do they Third Party Preview Panel next time. They spent so much time telling you what companies have ALREADY made, they had to fly past the actual reveals. They didn’t even mention what the toys were homages to in many, and since not evey fan can identify every obscure character from an outline or flash of a picture the way I can, I think many people missed the big reveals. I mean we are getting Masterpiece Powermasters! People barely noticed. There is a team of Axelerators, no one mentions that. The panel only had drawings of the Dnoforce shells, but we know the test shots of the actual shells were on the showroom floor. Why didn’t we see those? Also, where were BMOG and Warbotron?

    • I hear you Mathew. Darryl was less then pleased by the whole thing. The job, they could have done better with it.

      • What I did after the TFcon 3P Panel happened is I went into the TFW2005 third party forum, and I started a thread for each and every new reveal we had. I listed the name of the company, the name of the toy, and what it was an homage to. I then in the new thread I put a picture of the slide from the show, and a picture of the original toy and a link to the wiki page for that character so people can figure out who is it. That seemed to help people start talking about what the actual reveals were and know if they wanted them.

        Here is an example: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/1047081-maketoys-mtrm-12-night-bird-not-hydra-darkwing-throttle.html

        • You’re a good man, Sir Ignash. I wasn’t super enthused at the Chicago 3p Panel last year either. I felt a lot of “OK guys, we don’t need to see your whole freakin’ catalog. We know you made a Yellow AND Green Giant, Maketoys. That’s very old news now.”

Updates on current projects and reveals are what we want to see. I can imagine that can be padded as needed, especially with the inclusion of the homage suggestion. I can see that potentially being an issue with legalities with the MP-styled stuff, but things like the Function-X line – those are stylistically very different from the characters they homage. Very clear homages, but you could, for example, put Brainstorm and Smart Robin next to each other on a shelf and conceivably call them different characters if you wanted to, despite how very similar they are.

    • I agree that it was a bit of a rush; however, I think part of reason why it was short was because Peter Cullen’s panel was following after it, and the panel ended up being shorter to allow time for room reset and what not. Perhaps scheduling could have better.

With that said though, I still think it’s a good thing that they are repeating small portion of the company’s past so for people who are not super familiar get an idea of who every company is.

Anyways, Mathew, great informative and concise video new info from the panel. For anyone reading this who wants to take a look at the whole panel also, you can check out the entire panel I record on TFW here 😛 : http://news.tfw2005.com/2015/07/18/tfcon-2015-3rd-party-panel-slides-in-full-297654

  5. Faction Feud… the stuff of legend. Proud of you guys!!!

And Yoshi, there is no helping you. May Primus be with you. 😀

  6. So jealous of Dogcades, Mystic Marvels , Gabe , Jimmerz and Emmerez and even the most of Transmissions crew for getting to go to TF Con!! One day I will get to go to one!!! More than likely won’t be in Canada ( No offense there Dogcades , Rob , and Beast) . Just probably won’t have the money to go that far. Though who knows about Chicago or Charlotte. But one day I will go to a Con!! Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. And they whole Transmissions crew will be there and a good amount of Transceivers as well

  7. Just listen to the podcast on my way to and from the dentist (yay…) and great stuff. Sounded like you guys had a blast! Hopefully someday I won’t be dirt poor and check out a TFCon myself.

So Big C, I couldn’t help but hear you got a WindSaber (aka the tiny Chibi Windblade). I’ve thinking of getting one myself, not so much because of the cuteness factor but because I’m pretty impressed how much detail and articulation they put into such a small figure. If you don’t mind me asking how much did you roughly pay for it? The lowest I’ve seen it for is $30 with shipping. I DID check PRIME TOYS but they don’t have any. Do you by chance know if they will in the near future as a lot of other sites seem to be out of stock until October? Any advice/tips you can provide I’d appreciate and hopefully I’m not prying too much by asking how much your was.

Keep it up with the great podcasts guys! with TV as dead as it is Transmissions and MTMTE is pretty much all I got to look forward entertainment wise, and thankfully you guys seem to be cranking out podcasts weekly!

    • Thanks for kind words, Tyler.

We’re all really glad you’re enjoying the show and I’ll be sure to have Charles look over your question here. After he showed me the WindSaber, I decided I wanted one also, but by the time we got back to the show floor they all appeared to have sold out. Oh well, next time.

    • Hey Tyler, thanks for all the kind words! It’s always great to hear that people are enjoying the show. Regarding WindSaber (AKA Miko for Irontitan), I paid $40 Canadian for it, which was about $33.50 US with the exchange rate. So $30 plus shipping is reasonable. The vendor I bought it from at TFcon was The Chosen Prime, and it looks like they have it on their website for even cheaper at $23.99, but it’s out of stock there too:

      http://www.thechosenprime.com/IronFactoryEX05

It looks like Prime Toys isn’t carrying any of the Iron Factory figures. We’ll ask if they’re planning to in the future. Sorry I couldn’t help, but good luck trying to find one!

      • Thanks for getting back to me Big C! Darn, so I should’ve pulled the trigger on the one I saw for $30.00 with free shipping on ebay. Still I feel it can be a gamble when you order directly from China/Hong Kong because of the long shipping times. It looks like Iron Factory is planning to restock this for the Fall so I’ll try again then. Yoshi suggested I send some questions about the figure to you via email to touch on for when/if you share it for “Trips to the Store”. There really only one concern I have about it base on what I’ve read on forums but I get my question(s) emailed to you this weekend. Speaking of which, hope you all have great weekend and get caught up on sleep from your trip!

    • My Google Fu lead me to TFSource’s restock preorder page here:

      http://tfsource.com/ironfactory/if-ex05MA

And also available now from RobotKingdom (shipping is pretty expensive though if you are just buying her alone)

      http://www.robotkingdom.com/ifex05.html

      Hope that helps.

  8. Oh guys, remember how the rumor you reported is that Combiner Wars Leader Ultra Magnus will be remolded into Titan Wars Powermaster Optimus Prime? Powermaster Optimus had a base mode… Well, I found something interesting. You can make a base mode out of Magnus. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CIwKpKIUYAAotOI.jpg
