TransMissions Episode 61 – First Anniversary Show Featuring Mairghread Scott

On this episode we’re joined by Windblade comic book writer Mairghread Scott as we look back on the 4 issue Windblade miniseries, and speculate a little bit about next year’s Transformers comic event Combiner Wars.  We announce our one year anniversary listener contest, Darryl shares with us a new third party Dinobot combiner, Jeremy reviews Transformers vs. G.I. Joe , and Yoshi takes us back to the 80’s with another classic Marvel Transformers comic review.  We have all this and much, much more on this episode of TransMissions!

    1. Congratulations reaching your one year anniversary guys! I have been a fan since the first episode and don’t see myself stopping. Thanks for making a great show for Transformers fans.

      • Thanks for sticking with us all year! And thanks for tweeting links to our show and giving us one of our first iTunes reviews. Hope you’ll enter the contest!

    2. I was just curious, you guys posts the main show online as an MP3, then your trips to the show as a youtube video. Is there a reason you can’t post the whole show to youtube?

      • We only do Trips To The Store using Google Hangout and the rest of the show using Skype. The live synchronization in Google Hangout has a lot of lag (see the bloopers at the end of this week’s video for an example where I had a huge lag that no one else had), and the conversation goes more smoothly on Skype with audio only. We were using the auphonic service at https://auphonic.com to publish the finished audio show to YouTube, but the service went from free to freemium a couple months ago, and with the length of our show it’s too expensive to keep using regularly. I guess it’s not too difficult to put the mp3 into a video with a single image and post it to YouTube, but we just haven’t looked into doing it regularly.

    3. This probably happened after you recorded, but Badcube did break up the Brawny and Backland figures, as people were asking for it. Badcube is the company formerly known as Cubex, but they were advertising that they went to a new factory for Brawny and Backland. They are blaming the last factory they used for the high rate of defects on Cubex Huff.
