  1. Corbot V teased some GI Joe themed Transformers a while ago. They never came out, but I did like the concepts. http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=36455

There have been over a dozen examples of fan made customs or digibashed later being made as Club exclusives. Whitemocha and Cheebs made most of them. BTW – That’s the name of the thread the custom appeared in. I don’t name the threads on TFW2005, so don’t try to blame me for a “mistake” buds.

I believe the KFC not-Reflector said they are trying to get lights and sound. It won’t take pictures, but it will possibly click and flash.

  2. FYI Corbot V released some teasers for some GI Joe/Transformers crossover toys a while back. I really wanted them. http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=36455

The Club has copied people customs or digibashed at least a dozen times before. Mostly work by Whitemocha or Cheebs.

Funny That the TFCC is making it board part of the Seibertron board, where they basically black out all third party news.

Thanks for asking my questions and posting a link to my show this week.

  3. Sorry for the double post, computer is acting strange,

    • No worries, Mathew. I think your comments got stuck in the site’s moderation filter, I guess because they had 2 links. But you’d think the moderation filter would be smart enough to know that commenters who’ve had every comment approved for over a year on the site should probably be let through and not be flagged for spam. *shrug* Anyway thanks again for your feedback and clarifications!

  4. Here are some digibashes done by Whitemocha on TFW2005. Lots of them eded up getting made by TFCC, Hasbro or Taraka, and even one was done by a KO company! http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-fan-art/240499-botcon-2010-ideas-digibashes.html

Inferno into Artfire was done by Takara, and they floated the idea of a police Sunstreaker.

Energon Scorponok into G1 Scorponok and Double Punch, Universe Sideswipe into G1 Breakdown, Ultra Onslaught into Clench, Energon Sharkticon into Skybyte and Animated Ironhide into Autotroopers were done by the TFCC

Classic Voyager Optimus Prime into Powered Convoy was done by KOToys.

Are there any other of his ideas you might want to see get made?

  5. I’m curious what your guys’ take on the “Unnamed female Lost Exo Realm” female dinobot. I only ask because I believe it was revealed or presented at TFCon and maybe you saw it in person? Looks well-made and everything, with its T-Rex alt mode indescribable from a regular Grimlock’s (unless those are two separate figures), but what I want to know is this based on some obscure character I don’t know of or is this simply a Rule 63 Grimlock?

    Big C, “Nightbeat’s black, that’s cool!”

Not only is Nightbeat’s holoavatar black Big C, but rumor has it he’s heavily based on the appearance of Idris Elba’s Luther, which I think you’ll agree is even cooler!

    http://cdn.wegotthiscovered.com/wp-content/uploads/02Luther1-articleLarge.jpg

Also Rodimus’s Holoavatar, in addition to Marty McFly, is a homage to The Breakfast Club’s John Bender, who we all know is played by Judd Nelson, who voiced Hot Rod in the 1986 Transformers Movie.

    http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/p__/images/5/51/Bender.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120203205115&path-prefix=protagonist

Thought I’d point those out to return the favor of pointing out Nautica’s Haloavatar is based on Firefly’s Kaylee.

    Great episode as always guys!

    • Hey Tyler, we did see the female Dinobot reveal in person at the TFcon third party panel. At the time I thought the altmode was a velociraptor but it’s clear from that pic it’s a T-Rex. I’m not aware of any official fiction that has a female Dinobot.

The only “6th Dinobot” characters introduced that I know of have been Paddles, a Plesiosaur in a text story published in the Transformers Legends anthology novel, and Skar who was introduced in the IDW miniseries Transformers: Monstrosity as the Dinobot team’s medic who was killed in the past. Of course, that story was set on Cybertron before they got Dinosaur forms, so that may or may not count, depending on your point of view. 🙂

We recorded our review on Sunday, but since then I’ve seen the references to Nightbeat’s avatar being Idris Elba as Luther, which is cool! I haven’t gotten a chance to see that series yet, but he’s a great actor. My first exposure to him was actually when he was a guest star on the US version of The Office. 🙂

Thanks for the comments and we’re glad you’re enjoying the show!

  6. No, I considered the time difference between recording and posting but figured I’d share it anyways just in case you didn’t hear about it.

Also sorry for not getting my question in about the Windsaber in time. I saw episode 118 come out and thought I was too late, just to realized it was another (excellent) TFCon interview, then I forgot all about it… That said it sounds like the neat little transformer that I been reading about but I am curious about one thing. How is the painting on the face on yours? The one complaint I keep seeing is some of the figures have miss painted eyes. Until then yes I will eat my heart out even though I really can’t afford one right now anyways :P.

  7. The inside news about the TFTM cast getting movie-accurate figures made me drift through a school zone while belting out the synthesized bridge of “Dare”. Eat *that*, DiCola!

#Deepthroating could be the best thing to happen to the podcast. Everybody would benefit from a #Deepthroating in their life. I know I have.

  8. dualmirroredgridwork

Well it does sucks that there will be no g1 reissue of the dinobots,I kinda fought the urge to buy the aoe figs myself, but I’m glad I did not…the only one the stuck out to me was scorn, and I still did not buy him.it was nice two have 2 eps this week to listen to,and they were not “late”,from a certain point of view…yep still love ya yosh!
I was wondering a few eps ago yakko said that the marvel issue of tf #3 that had spidy in it was not earth 616,what/where did he ready that again,I felt the since he had the sybiot alien after secret was it WAS 616…that’s been puzzling me a bit.anyway seller shows as always guys!!

  9. First off, thank you so much for all the patreon goodies from TF Con. Being able to just download everything right away and listen was awesome.

So yeah, those Platinum Dinobots. They’re a thing. So bad.

Hey, no one told me watching the Simpsons was a prerequisite for listening to this episode. I have to know these things, fellas.

So I’m guessing Reflector is Yoshi’s 3rd party get. Very cool to hear him so excited about it.

New headmaster stuff?!? You know I’m going to be doing nothing but hoping that we’ll see an IDW version of Chromedome now. Headmaster or not I can only hope Magnus was popular enough to make this happen as well.

I thought the Roberts interview was great and Yoshi was fine. James certainly seems to understand that not everyone will like what he writes. And it sparked a great discussion!

    Top notch show guys!

    • Hello Kirkman81!

Glad you enjoyed the patreon TFCon goodies. Will do our best to try and keep up things like that for you all.

Simpsons? Yeah, you could watch it and make Charles happy, or you could just watch Futurama.

There are a couple of 3rd party reflectors. I’ll need to know which one is your guess.

Thanks for your James Roberts comments. Glad you enjoyed it.

      Yoshi

  10. I had questions for your insider source. It was mentioned that the Deluxe figures for the Titan Wars line were Cybertronian mode 1986 movie characters, I’d assume guys like Hot Rod, Blurr, Kup, and Scourge, who got Deluxe modern toys, but those toys were not movie accurate alternate modes. Arcee and Cyclonus got movie accurate Deluxe toys already, so they would seem less likely. Question 1 – Will these be normal Deluxe toys, or Combiner style Deluxe limbs? Question 2 – Will many of these toys be Targetmasters like they were in their 1987 toy line?
