  1. Dual Mirrored Gridwork

WOW an new ep on a friday!!, I’ll have to think of another name to take place of “Transmissions Tuesdays” from now on…perhaps “Transmissions frequency Fridays”?…any ideas fellow fans??
    (please dont involve “transmissionaries”)
SWEET PRIMUS!!! has this been a few weeks/months of chaos for me..been doing 10-13/15 hours a week extra of overtime for the last few months, moving a friend this past weekend, and battling a allergy/sinus infection….and the feedback beast is PISSED…BUT this Saturday i just might have a few hours to give it a walk….well see….I need a weekend of relaxation, the last few have been pretty crappy..
Thanks guys for all the great work you all do!!

  2. The RTS Jazz mold was used by Fun Pub for Botcon Treadshot, Kickover and SG Longarm. It was also GDO Wheelie, Generations G2 Jazz and Million Publishing Stepper in Japan. I like that the bio on it has Stepper as being brother to Jazz and Ricochet. So there are three “Jazz Brothers”. It also had him being a ventriloquist who uses a drone/gun to pretend he’s a Targetmaster like his brother Ricochet.

Official ruling: The Maketoys Citizen Set 01 With Trench Covers are non-transforming, like Decoys. You get a set in robot mode, a set in alt mode, and a combined toy – all seperate. They don’t even move, much less transform.

  3. DMG – Good luck. Keep your head up. Hopefully you are getting paid overtime for those added work hours.

The Hot Spot figure looks good, but I do not like the color. If it was a more traditional fire truck color, such as yellow, orange, or red, then I would definitely get it. I think I will wait until I see it in person to decide whether to get it or not.

  4. I haven’t gotten to the comic section yet. Weekends are generally reserved for gaming if RL stuff isn’t happening. 🙂

I’m… really disappointed at Yoshi’s reaction to the Aerialbots. I would have thought that those would have been right up his alley. I thought they were a perfect update to the G1 stuff. I’ve got em. I love em. I wish the legs were on slides instead of that weird folding thing they do, but there’s worse things that could have been done.

You’re certainly allowed to like what you like and not like what you don’t like. I took some exception to the “Why didn’t they just reissue the G1 figures instead?” comment. The more you harp on and on about G1 and how stuff today isn’t what you remember, the less I like G1.

I love my updated Motormaster (by the way, the mold does some kind of sorcery, because it works so much better for him than it does for Optimus). G1 Motormaster was stupid. Even was I was 8 years old, I thought a robot the size of Optimus Prime that turned into a cab and trailer when Optimus only turned into a cab was ridiculous. I didn’t get it, I didn’t like it, I’m glad they MADE IT BETTER. There was a lot of stuff about G1 that sucked. Motormaster’s alt mode was one. I think, now, that mass-shifting is dumb, but I didn’t as a kid, so I can’t use that argument, so I’ll just hand that to you. I much prefer the modern takes we’re getting because they’re mixing new toy technology with throwbacks to what got us into this mess in the first place. Heaven forbid Transformers CHANGE.

    Also, I fucking love Defensor.

  5. After blasting Yoshi about the toys, I’m going to pull a 180 and give a thumbs up for that comment about how the transformers in the comments these days are a lot like people in robot suits and less like alien robots. I don’t necessarily always agree, but that’s a really good way to put it.

Haven’t gotten to the epic rant yet. I’m excited.

  6. I can’t find an edit button. Triple post!

That epic rant was amazing. I saw it coming as soon as I heard “Starscream is all ‘hey, you guys work together, right?’ and makes them combine.” Holy crap was that forced.

I don’t mind the comics being written for the trades, but I also buy the trades, so I’m disqualified. I think every point you made was perfectly valid, especially about the toys being forced in quite so…forcefully. It’s awkward and uncomfortable and I don’t like it.

  7. Wow that was an enjoyable episode. Thanks guys.

I’ll echo Tom Lynch on a few things.

Yoshi…STFU and buy CW Superion already. You won’t regret it. G1 Superion is a steaming pile of shit compared to the new one. You can skip the CW Menasor though cause that’s not so great.

That said high five for the rant Yoshi. Made me laugh right through. That rant easily was better then my rant about how terrible the TFCC club/botcon is.

Darryl…Isn’t Kijiji awesome! psst…I think someone is Jelly they don’t Kijiji. LOL

Ah…good times, thanks for the listening material to get me through a night shift.
